Thursday, July 23, 2026, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Manor Mill Gallery, Monkton, MD
Bird feathers include a wide diversity of beautiful colors and architecture, which makes them a wonderful subject for a watercolor study. We will first look at images of bird feathers—some real and some artfully interpreted—and then create our own on watercolor paper. Various watercolor techniques will be used, such as dry brush and fan brush, and your rendering can be realistic, whimsical, or imaginary! All materials provided, including mats so you can frame your feather masterpiece, and wine will also be available.
Wednesday, August 19, 4-6 p.m. at Manor Mill Gallery, Monkton, Maryland.
Come quench both your thirst and your artistic appetite with a fun watercolor workshop where we will immerse ourselves in a unique technique for painting a watercolor cocktail! How do we paint clear ice cubes, you might ask? Join us in this workshop where we will use a classic lifting technique to give realistic transparency to our ice cubes while they reflect the yellow glow of a lemon wedge or the green tint of fresh mint. Lite cocktails and wine will be served, or bring your own favorite summer beverage. All materials provided.
Register here.
Current Exhibitions
Several of my watercolors are on display through the middle of January 2026 at the Baltimore County Courthouse in the heart of Towson. I am joined in this exhibit by several members of the Towson Arts Collective Gallery.
I am excited to be one of a few selected artists to display original pieces for sale at the Roggenart Cafe in Towson, Maryland. It's a beautiful setting for the paintings and I am grateful to Roggenart for sponsoring this exhibition by local artists.
